Tool for extracting metadata from documents (PDF, Word, Excel) and obtaining information about users, systems, and software.

When you have downloaded public documents from a target and want to extract hidden information: authors, system names, software versions, print paths, etc. This can reveal internal usernames, operating systems, and even network paths. In practice, metadata from corporate documents is a goldmine of information.

If the documents are clean of metadata (security practice) or if you don't have documents from the target. Also on Linux/macOS, you prefer metagoofil.
